The material used is 316 Stainless Steel. The SAE J514 37 degree flared hydraulic fitting is a common machined standard at Kilgore Manufacturing. It is a -10 size reduced to a -8 size JIC fitting. This part employed turning, drilling, threading and boring.
Despite this part having a .03” wall on the -8 size end, we were able to exceed finish requirements across the part. This part was a perfect candidate for our twin turret Mori Seiki NZX machines to help maximize productivity.
