CNC Milling of Aluminum Manifold for the High Pressure Air Systems Industry

Kilgore Manufacturing Company, Inc. was contracted by a client in Virginia to complete a manifold within a high pressure air system application. With our long-established expertise in CNC milling, we set out straight to work.

We were given pieces of 7075-T651 aluminum with starting dimensions of 5.25" long, 4" wide, and 9.50" high. Following a customer-supplied blueprint and employing our own 3D surface model, we used a Haas VF-4SS equipped with a 1000 psi thru spindle coolant and a TR210 Trunnion that provided 5-axis simultaneous motion and/or positioning, we constructed a series of 20 manifolds with finished dimensions of 4.98" long, 3.98" wide, and 9.23" high, with tolerances as close as +/- .001".

We provided a material finish to each manifold by way of gold anodizing. The end products came out to weigh an estimated 16 lbs. apiece. For more information on Kilgore and our CNC milling services, contact us today or continue to browse our website.
